Concerts, particularly Metal ones are supposed to be euphoric and serve as an outlet for its fans to come together and let loose. Unfortunately for a fan, that fun ended Saturday night by performing a stage dive that ultimately ended his life.
21-year old Metal fan Alberto Scott was at Webster Hall in New York City to see Miss May I perform their record release show in support of their latest album Rise Of The Lion.
The audience became restless when the band’s set was abruptly cut short as the sound was cut off. Webster Hall cancelled its BASSment Saturdays event that was supposed to be held after the show due to the stage diving incident.
Sinestra Studios, a freelance photography website, reached out to those who knew Scott and had nothing but positive things to say about him. The rest of the comments made about Scott can be seen on the website.

Berto always had a open mind giving ears to new music. I still can’t believe that he is gone. I will always be thinking if you, you were a homie and a brother that will always remain in my heart. “I feel I should tell you the little I knew about Alberto from the times we’ve spoken. For one, he had the greatest and biggest smile that immediately caught your attention and made you feel happy. He was so kindhearted and such a good guy, so happy and open minded. Whenever I saw him, he never looked stressed or worried. All he cared about was the music. And as he said to me once, he took music very seriously and it was his 24/7 high.”

Miss May I took to Facebook Sunday to comment on the tragedy:
“Hey everyone, we are aware of the incident that occurred at Webster Hall last night and will be posting a statement shortly. However, we are awaiting further information regarding the situation before we are able to make a full statement.”
A fundraiser has been created in Scott’s honor on gofundme by Jenise Ramos Sarraga in order to raise money for his funeral expenses. As of now, about $400 has been raised of its goal of $2000.
Webster Hall has not released a statement regarding Scott’s death and the stage diving incident at this time.
