House Republicans Nominate Scalise for Speaker, House Convenes

House Republicans have nominated Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) as a candidate to succeed ousted Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as speaker of the House.

The House convenes at 3:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 11.
