People March in Lisbon to Mark 50th Anniversary of Carnation Revolution

Thousands march in the main avenue of Portugal’s Lisbon on April 25 to mark the 50th anniversary of the “Carnation Revolution” of April 25, 1974, a practically bloodless revolution that put an end to Europe’s longest fascist dictatorship.
