The Accademia Ducale musical study center presents Ludwig van Beethoven's Macbeth Overture, which premiered on Sept. 14, 2022, in Potenza, at the Teatro F. Stabile.
The reduction for instrumental ensemble, edited by Giovanni Claudio Traversi, was inspired by the version by Roberto Diem Tigani, composer and conductor, who worked on the version by Albert Willem Holsbergen.
The concert, sponsored by the Municipality of Potenza, is the result of collaboration with the LvBeethoven.it Music Research Center, with which the Accademia Ducale music study center has partnered.
The concert is part of the program of the concert season "The new flowers of the Academy," which has obtained recognition from the Ministry of Culture - Directorate General for Entertainment for the three-year period 2022–2024. Artistic direction: Giuseppe D'Amico
