Join Jeff Carlson and Hans Mahncke in the latest episode of “Truth Over News‘' as they continue to expose the corruption of government agencies that led to the outbreak and subsequent coverup of COVID-19, and ask the important question: why is the GOP doing nothing about it?

Over the past several episodes, Carlson and Mahncke have exposed shocking truths that counter the mainstream COVID-19 narrative, including Dr. Anthony Fauci’s key role in funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology and spearheading an organized cover up of the lab leak. Not surprisingly, the mainstream media won’t report these truths, but what is shocking is that Republican congressmen and senators have been largely missing from the conversation.

Fauci’s actions, as seen in the previous two episodes of “Truth over News”, which detail the events leading up to the outbreak, expose the dysfunction and corruption of government bureaucrats, which should be reason enough for investigation by the GOP. Fauci, at 80 years old, has built an empire that he is using to implement his own agenda, at the expense of the American people, and no one is holding him accountable.

If the GOP was serious about protecting the freedoms of Americans when it comes to mask and vaccine mandates, they would be examining the vast amount of publicly available data regarding the events leading to the pandemic, and exposing them for the entire world to see. Fauci has a troubled history of misconduct, including lying and covering up his funding of gain-of-function experiments in the Wuhan lab, which are experiments aimed at increasing the virulence and lethality of pathogens and viruses. He has been promoting these types of dangerous experiments for the past decade, including making viruses airborne allowing them to rapidly spread among humans and transmit through the air. Despite outcry from the science community and some in government regarding the risks of gain-of-function experiments, Fauci has repeatedly argued that these experiments were worth the risk.

Fauci funded the 2015 groundbreaking Wuhan gain-of-function experiment that constructed novel coronaviruses that used humanized mice to see how well the newly created viruses would bind to human cells, yet a secret teleconference meeting in early 2020 resulted in the suppression of any reporting on Fauci’s connection to the funding of these experiments. The fact that hardly any elected officials are actively seeking to hold Fauci accountable for his actions reveal that the underlying issue isn’t Democrat vs. Republican, but rather, it is a deep state bureaucrats vs. the people. Fauci seems to view himself as above oversight, as shown during his disregard for the Obama administration’s order to suspend gain-of-function experiments. The change of administration in 2017 gave Fauci an opportunity to dismantle the moratorium put in place by the Obama administration, and an investigation by The Australian news outlet confirmed Fauci did so without informing the White House.

Obama’s moratorium was replaced by the Enhanced p-3 Framework, a 6-page document that foresaw a multiple level review of the merits and possible research benefits of gain-of-function experiments. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins said in response to the p-3 Framework, “we have a responsibility to ensure that research with infectious agents is conducted responsibly, and that we consider the potential biosafety and biosecurity risks associated with such research.” He added that the NIH would help facilitate the safe, secure, and responsible conduct of this research in a way that maximizes the benefits to public health.

However, the NIH continued funding gain-of-function experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which continued to conduct bat coronavirus experiments in biosafety level 2 labs, which is a low biosafety environment that falls below the accepted threshold of safety for coronavirus research levels. It is also now known that in 2018, at a time when new safeguards implemented into the lab were already in operation, the United States embassy in Beijing sent multiple reports to Washington D.C. outlying their concerns over lax biosafety and security standards at the Wuhan Institute. Why did Fauci and the NIH allow the work to continue? Normally, the NIH review report of the work being funded at the Wuhan Institute of Virology would provide insight. These reports were recently released under a freedom of information request, but are nearly entirely redacted. However, the entry for biohazard in the report consists of only one line, showing they did not take these concerns seriously.

Fauci seemed driven to continue to fund projects that had the goal of developing evermore pathogenic viruses. According to the episode hosts, “these are not the hallmarks of a dedicated civil servant, but of a rogue scientist pursuing his own agenda.” Fauci’s secret teleconference in February 2020, centering around censoring and suppressing reports on his ties to the funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology are non representative of a public servant, but of a man intent on preserving himself. He used government facilities and resources to conduct this meeting, yet the public did not find out about the existence of the meeting until June 2021, and only due to a few private citizens who were relentless in pursuing the facts. Perhaps more concerning is that the GOP is not leading this investigation. “The National Institutes of Health is not a private company. It is a taxpayer venture funded to the tune of $52 billion a year- more money than the entire national budget of 75 percent of most of the world’s countries,” say the hosts. “How they spend that money and whether they comply with their own rules and federal laws are matters of great public importance.”

Fauci funded risky research that resulted in the blueprint proposal to create the actual COVID-19 virus in a lab. The public disclosure of these details should have generated a series of questions and resources from Congress. If independent civilian researchers have uncovered all this detailed information, imagine what Congress could uncover if they choose to do so. The evidence is all there, the GOP simply needs to pick it up and run with it.
