“Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings marked a major milestone over the weekend, celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Mindy.

Jennings, 51, shared a photo on Instagram of the smiling couple in Australia on Sept. 20 with the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge as a backdrop. In his caption, the longtime game show figure reflected on the passage of time and expressed gratitude for his marriage.

“I’m not sure where the years went or how I got this lucky, but this marriage is officially 25 years old,” he wrote. “It can now rent a car!”

He added lightheartedly: “This week is also the 25th anniversary of the Sydney Olympics, but that’s not why we’re here. That would be a weird system for planning an anniversary trip.”

The couple met as students at Brigham Young University in Utah, where Jennings eventually proposed before both graduated in 2000. They married the same year.

Mindy, a former preschool teacher, has largely stayed out of the public eye. She does not maintain public social media accounts and has rarely made appearances alongside her husband. The couple has two children.

Jennings has occasionally shared glimpses of family life with fans. In 2022, he posted on X a photo of his son Dylan at a Seattle Mariners game, noting it was the team’s first playoff appearance since before his son was born.

“He just started his sophomore year of college. Congrats @Mariners!,” he captioned the post.

The TV host has also spoken about the challenges and joys of parenting, describing it as a constantly evolving experience.

“Parenting is always a moving target,” he told Yahoo! Life in a past interview, adding that raising children requires attentiveness and flexibility as their needs change.

“People tend to remember their childhood as a constant, steady state, but when you see a kid from a parent’s eye, you realize there’s a new interest or a new quirk every few weeks. It’s eye-opening how your own perception of childhood maybe isn’t that accurate.”

While Jennings’s private life is rarely in the spotlight, his professional achievements are well known. He first rose to prominence in 2004 after winning 74 consecutive games on “Jeopardy!,” the longest winning streak in the show’s history. He later returned to the program for several tournaments, cementing his status as one of the most successful contestants in its history.

Following the passing of longtime host Alex Trebek in 2020, Jennings was invited to step in as a temporary host before being named permanent co-host in 2021. Since 2023, he has served as the show’s sole host.
