Dean Cain, the actor widely known for portraying Superman in the 1990s television series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” will soon be sworn in as an honorary officer with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Tricia McLaughlin, an assistant secretary and spokesperson for the agency, confirmed Thursday that Cain, 59, is expected to take on the ceremonial role in the coming month. While the specific responsibilities tied to his honorary position have not been disclosed, Cain’s involvement comes as ICE ramps up recruitment efforts following a substantial increase in federal funding.
