Kirk Medas, best known for his role on MTV’s reality series “Floribama Shore,” died on May 2 after a prolonged hospitalization due to severe complications from necrotizing pancreatitis. He was 33.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Kirk Medas, a beloved member of the ‘Floribama Shore’ family,” MTV wrote in a statement posted to social media. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fans during this difficult time.”
