Actor Alec Baldwin and his brother, fellow actor Stephen Baldwin, were involved in a car accident Monday in East Hampton, New York, after their vehicle reportedly collided head-on with a tree.
Photographs obtained by TMZ and Page Six show the brothers standing beside a white Range Rover with significant front-end damage as police officers investigated the crash in the rain.
A garbage truck was also seen near the site of the collision. The company that owns it told TMZ its driver was not responsible.
As of Monday, East Hampton police had not released details about the cause of the crash or confirmed who was driving at the time. No injuries or citations have been reported.
The collision occurred along Montauk Highway, a main route through the Hamptons. Both Alec, 67, and Stephen, 59, appeared uninjured. Police were photographed assisting the brothers at the scene.
Alec Baldwin, known for his work on “30 Rock” and films such as “The Hunt for Red October” and “The Departed,” has faced a series of personal and legal challenges in recent years. The most notable was the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico set of the Western film “Rust.” The incident led to an involuntary manslaughter charge being filed against Alec Baldwin, which was dismissed in 2024 based on allegations that prosecutors had withheld evidence relevant to the case.
More recently, Baldwin has been active in public appearances tied to his work in the entertainment industry. He serves as co-chair of the Hamptons International Film Festival’s Executive Committee and at the time of the accident was attending events connected to the festival, which ran from Oct. 5 to Oct. 13.
In addition to his acting career, Baldwin and his family have been featured in the TLC reality series “The Baldwins,” which highlighted his family life with his wife, Hilaria, and their seven children.
“The Baldwins” was filmed in part at his East Hampton estate, a 10-acre farmhouse in Amagansett purchased in 1995. The farmhouse had been listed for sale multiple times over the past several years before being removed from the market in 2024.
Stephen Baldwin, known for roles in “The Usual Suspects” and “Born on the Fourth of July,” is an outspoken Christian and has frequently spoken about his faith. He is the father of American model Hailey Bieber, who is married to Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.
