Emma Watson, the beloved 20-year-old Harry Potter actress, has changed from her signature “Hermione Granger” locks to a new short cut.

Emma Watson, who has dreamed of adopting a new hairstyle since the age of 16, finally got to experience it after filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last movie of the Harry Potter series.

One would think that the English actress would miss her hair—the hair that made her the heroine of Harry Potter, but she is enjoying her new haircut too much to think back.

“Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing! The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it,” Watson told EW.com.

Watson, who has recently modeled for Burberry’s spring/summer fashion line, is living in New York when she is on break from school at Brown University.
