Elon Musk is really dedicating himself to his Tesla promises.

In a May 4 conference call regarding Tesla’s first quarter earnings, business and technology mogul Elon Musk told listeners that he has been sleeping at his electric car company’s factory.

“My desk is at the end of the production line,” said Musk “I have a sleeping bag in a conference room adjacent to the production line, which I use quite frequently.”

Musk, who came to fortune and fame as the co-founder of PayPal—in addition to co-founding Tesla Motors, in 2003—founded SpaceX in 2002, which “designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft.”

During the call, Musk affirmed his company’s plans to manufacture 500,000 cars by 2018, pushing the date forward two years from the original 2020.

As evidence of the company’s ability to fulfill its promises, Musk noted that he has observed “Model X production increase by a factor of five from Q4 to Q1, and we continue to make huge strides in volume and quality of the vehicle.”

Musk, thrice divorced and the father of five children, will not rest, it seems, until Tesla Motors becomes “the best manufacturer on earth.”
