An earthquake hit today in San Diego county in California, about 9 miles north of Borrego Springs.

The quake registered as 3.3 in magnitude, at a depth of 5.6 miles.

The quake was also 19 miles south of La Quinta, 22 miles south-southwest of Coachella, and 23 miles south of Palm Desert.
