A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit near the Philippines, according to the US quake-monitoring agency.

The quake occurred about 72 miles east south east of Pondaguitan, Philippines, according to the US Geological Survey.

The tremor was at a depth of 58.1 miles.

The quake hit at about 10:33 a.m. local time.

Some light shaking could be felt in the Tagum region.

So far, no damage has been reported yet.
