An earthquake hit today in California, about nine miles south-southwest of San Simeon.
The 4.2 magnitude quake was also 26 miles west-northwest of Morro Bay, 29 miles west-northwest of Los Osos, and 33 miles west-southwest of Paso Robles.
It struck at a depth of 2.2 miles off the coast.
It hit at around noon PDT.
