A lot of Duggar news has been coming out lately and this week is no exception. One of the biggest pieces of news is that Jessa Duggar’s wedding to Ben Seewald will be previewed during the season finale of 19 Kids and Counting on Tuesday, November 25.
Fans have been clamoring for more insight into Jessa and Ben’s wedding and TLC chose to oblige them.
The full wedding episode, though, won’t air until spring 2015. The good news is that this basically guarantees another season of the show, which would be season 10.
The season 9 finale on November 25 will mostly focus on the Duggars’ cousin Amy as she continues to pursue her music career.
“Amy performs on a sold out showboat dinner cruise and then celebrates her 28th birthday with her Duggar cousins,” TLC said in a description of the episode, which is titled Nashville Dreams.
“Plus, get a behind the scenes look at her new music video.”
19 Kids and Counting has been setting new records in terms of ratings this season and consistently beats, or gets close to, the top cable program on Tuesday nights, Sons of Anarchy.
Jill’s wedding episode was particularly popular, scoring a 3.0 ratings with women 18-54.
Meanwhile, Jim Bob and Michelle have spoken out about the rumors that second-oldest son John David is secretly courting.
“John is not courting and not in a relationship…and he has never been in one!” they said in a joint statement.
“Just thought we’d set that straight. He’s still waiting for the right one at the right time.”
Fans responded to the message on the family’s unofficial blog.
“I think it is great that John David is waiting for just the right lady! Now days the young people feel like they need to rush to get married because if it isn’t right they can get divorced and it ends badly,” said one.
“He seems like such a sweet, humble, hard-working young man. I admire his dedication to his family and his devotion to God. Like his beautiful twin Jana, he will be a great partner for the right person when God reveals His plan,” said another.
