Just imagine spending nine years in the same room, day in and day out, year in and year out. Such was the life of a 2-month-old puppy that found her way into an overcrowded shelter in Mani, Greece, as described by Valia Orfanidou, who runs The Orphan Pet animal rescue.
When the puppy came to the shelter, there were only a few volunteers to look after her plus over 100 other dogs. They decided to call her Beauty because of her dark black coat and noble features.
