Peter Bogdanovich, the director of “The Last Picture Show” and “Paper Moon,” has died at the age of 82.
Bogdanovich died early Thursday morning at his home in Los Angeles, said his daughter, Antonia Bogdanovich. She said he died of natural causes.
Bogdanovich began his career as a film journalist before making his directorial debut with “Targets” in 1968.
He was nominated for a best director Academy Award for 1971’s “The Last Picture Show.”
He also directed Barbra Streisand in the hit comedy “What’s Up, Doc?” and Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve in “Noises Off...”
His last feature film “She’s Funny That Way,” starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, was released in 2014.
