Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for Xbox One will be released in 1080p.

In an interview with GameSpot, Blizzard confirmed that the next-gen console game on the Xbox will feature the same graphics as that on the PlayStation.

Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat said: “The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.”

“Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there.

“We’re very happy about that.”

The Xbox One version was originally slated to have only 900p resolution, although Blizzard did say that it might get a boost up to 1080p some day via the Xbox One June SDK. That Xbox One SKD update allows developers to boost console GPU power.

Both the Xbox One and PlayStaton 4 will run the game at 60 frames-per-second.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition features all the content from the original Diablo III as well as the expansion, Reaper of Souls.

The game on Microsoft and Sony next-gen consoles on August 19.

Diablo III is already available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Blizzard allows both cross-generation and cross-platform exports of saved game data for the Ultimate Evil Edition. This means that players can port their data from say the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4, or even move saved games from the Xbox 360 to the PlayStation 4.
