American actress Sela Ward has enjoyed success in the entertainment industry since the early 1980s. Beside acting, Ward is a published author and advocate for disadvantaged children. She’s also a married mom of two. Today, Ward’s kids are all grown up, and the family resemblance is striking.

The 63-year-old actress met entrepreneur Howard Elliott Sherman on a blind date. They fell in love and married on May 23, 1992. The couple have two children, Austin Ward Sherman, 25, and Anabella Raye Sherman, 21.

From time to time, Ward shares snaps of her kids on social media. Photos of her son and daughter increasingly prove that they are looking more and more like their famous mom.

The actress shared a photo of herself with her then-24-year-old son, Austin, in June of 2018 on Facebook, captioned:
“Me and my son Austin Sherman having the best soul food lunch at The Crown in Indianola in between campaign trail stops [...] We’re having a blast meeting y’all!”
In the photo, mom and son look striking similar, both sporting the same broad grin and smiling eyes.
The actress then shared a photo of her daughter, Anabella, on Instagram on July 30, 2019, modeling the aftermath of a face art makeover. Ward captioned the photo:
“My daughter inspires me, and look at those enchanting eyes! What a beautiful free spirit.”

Love poured in from the fans. “Ethereal beauty!” wrote one.

“She is absolutely stunning! What a lovely young woman with such a gorgeous face,” wrote another, adding, “Her eyes are amazing!”

Ward got her breakthrough television role as Teddy Reed in NBC’s drama series “Sisters.” She played the lead role of Lily Manning in ABC’s “Once and Again” three years later, and she won Emmy awards for both roles.

Today, Ward is known nationwide for her roles as Jo Danville in “CSI: NY” and television host Sharon Schieber in 2014’s “Gone Girl.”

The actress has long been an advocate for children. “In December of 2000,” Ward told Oprah Winfrey, “I was in my hometown of Meridian, Mississippi, and a friend took me on a tour of an emergency shelter for abused children that she'd started.

“My husband and I were trying to think of solutions,” Ward continued, “and I remembered that there was a 25-acre children’s home in Meridian that had been abandoned. I thought, ‘Oh my God, we can do this.’”

The actress and her husband co-founded a home for vulnerable children called Hope Village for Children, a “safe, nurturing environment,” Ward explained, “where siblings could stay intact.”
Ward’s own children have long been a source of solace for her. In between acting jobs, Ward explained to the Los Angeles Times, “I went back to my painting studio and totally immersed myself again in that, and my kids, for the longest time.”

Siblings Austin and Anabella are close to their mom and certainly bear a striking physical similarity to both of their parents. Anabella has already ventured into the world of acting, with small roles in film short “Love and War” and television series “Graves.”

We look forward to finding out how far these siblings will follow in their famous mom’s footsteps!
