The results of the second round of elections in Ukraine which saw pro-Russian presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych win were suspended on Wednesday by a Ukrainian court as they review an appeal by his rival Yulia Tymoshenko.

Tymoshenko has refused to accept the outcome of the elections saying that the vote was wrought with fraud. She claims to have enough evidence of fraud, including on video, to warrant recounting all the votes.

”I can firmly say that the elections in Ukraine were rigged. And this is not a political declaration but a clear legal assessment of the advocates,” Tymoshenko said in a statement on Feb 13.

According to official results, Viktor Yanukovych won the Feb. 7 vote against his rival by margin of 3 percentage points. The court is expected to rule on Tymoshenko’s appeal by Feb. 25.
