Cody Walker, the brother of late actor Paul Walker, appears to be the latest victim of a fake Facebook page made that purports to be him.
Cody deleted his personal Facebook page several weeks ago after stories linking him to “Fast & Furious 7” began coming out. Sources told the Daily Mail that Cody has been asked to replace Paul in some of the yet-to-be filmed scenes in the movie, which is now due out in 2015.
Unlike Paul Walker Sr., Paul’s father, and Ashlee Walker, one of Paul’s sisters, Cody has not spoken publicly at all following Paul’s death on November 30.
A new Facebook page purporting to be him appears fake for several reasons. The first is that the spelling is atrocious. The second is that the page is casual about Walker’s death, and appears to be very concerned with getting more “likes” and “shares,” something Cody has never seemed concerned about.
The third is that all of the links shared on the page are from a little-known blog called Hello Fashion, which is strange. If it were a legitimate page, and Cody was sharing links, they would likely be from a variety of sources, not just one.
An example is that the page shared a link about Walker’s family reportedly fighting over his $45 million fortune, with no comment. It would be strange if Cody actually shared this link.
Another example, showing the unbelievably casual nature of the page, is a photo of Paul with two puppies with the accompanying comment:
“OMG LOVE This Photo
Maximum Likes and Shares For Blue Eyes!!!!
Misssssssssssing You Paul”
