Cincinnati Bethesda North Hospital: Patient Had Bag of Guns

|Updated:

MONTGOMERY, Ohio—Police in suburban Cincinnati are investigating why a hospital patient had a bag full of guns and other weapons.

Montgomery police have released little information on what happened last week, when they responded to a report of a patient threatening Bethesda North Hospital workers with a gun. No injuries were reported.

A police report shows officers seized a duffel bag with three pistols, bullets, bear-deterrent spray and other items on Thursday night.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that police say the patient is hospitalized. The patient’s name hasn’t been released, and no other information is available.

Police say they are consulting with the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office about charges.

A message was left Tuesday for a hospital spokesman.
