The Chinese regime may have secretly conducted a small nuclear test, potentially placing it in violation of an international pact banning such tests, the U.S. State Department said in its 2020 review of international compliance with arms control accords published on April 15.
The finding, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, could further damage already strained relations between Washington and Beijing amid the United States’ scrutiny over China’s handling of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.
