Charlie Sheen’s leading lady on his show “Anger Management” was named: Laura Bell Bundy. The choice was made weeks after Selma Blair was ousted.

E! News reported that Bundy will play Dr. Jordan Denby, the new research partner for Charlie.

Bundy, 32, begins shooting for the show next week.

The official description of her character reads, “If Charlie and Kate were like Sam and Diane on ‘Cheers,’ then you are Rebecca. Tough, career driven, neurotic and you wear your heart on your sleeve. And you hate yourself for eventually becoming attracted to Charlie,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter and other media entities that Sheen dismissed Blair after he sent a coarsely worded text, expressing his displeasure for the actress. Blair reportedly questioned Sheen’s work ethic.

Bundy, a stage actress and country singer, starred as Elle Woods in the musical version of “Legally Blonde.” She also starred in “Wicked,” “Ruthless,” and “Hairspray.”

She’s also appeared on shows “How I Met Your Mother” and “Hart of Dixie.”
