Céline Dion Shares Rare Photos of Her Twins: ‘You Make Me Proud Every Day’

Céline Dion’s beautiful young family is growing up fast!

The superstar’s twin boys, Nelson and Eddy, were born on Oct. 23, 2010. Céline was 42 years old and her husband, René Angélil, was 67. It’s rare for Céline to share photos of her sweet young sons, but we’ve collated a few of the best and the verdict is clear; time is flying by!

Céline and René had another son, René-Charles Dion Angélil, together. Today, he’s 18 years old, a budding rap artist, and the twin boys’ big brother. He often appears in family photos, and for the tight-knit family of four, it’s clear that the love is real.

Since losing her husband to throat cancer in January of 2016, just two days before his 74th birthday, Céline has strived to keep her beloved boys close and love them twice as hard. “It’s been a tough journey,” she told E! News, just months after René’s passing.

“You see your husband suffer for three years,” the heartbroken performer continued, “and it’s not what you want to see. So now I know he is well, and we live with him in a different way.”

“I see him through the eyes of my children every single day.”

Céline knows how to treat her children, and birthdays are a wonderful excuse to have fun. They are also a great excuse for photos, so the world, in turn, is treated to a rare glimpse into the young twins’ journey from babies into happy, bright young boys.

Céline took Nelson and Eddy to Disneyland for their sixth birthday in 2016, and the photo says it all: they had a blast! The Canadian singer became a Disney fan after her husband’s passing, she told The Sun. “I got myself a huge, huge, huge bed and I sleep with my twins.”

“They are comforting me a lot,” she explained. “We watch a lot of TV together. I’m discovering Disney.”

On the twin boys’ seventh birthday the following year, Céline shared another rare snap. The proud mom shared a photo of herself and her sons larking about in a rehearsal room on Instagram.

Notably, there were several models of the late Michael Jackson in the background. Evidently, Céline’s boys both love the singer; they even sported cool Michael Jackson-style outfits and posed like rock stars! Cuteness overload.

Céline marked Nelson and Eddy‘s eighth birthday with another sweet tribute to her growing boys on Instagram. Sharing a photo snapped at their family home, the twins looked cool brandishing peace signs (but not too cool to hang out with mom!).

René-Charles also hung out, looking happy, in the background.

Céline, looking comfortably casual in workout gear, turned a sparkly gold “8” decoration sideways and held it over her 8-year-old son’s eyes. After everything she’s been through, Céline has certainly retained her infectious, fun-loving spirit.

“My sweet boys,” the loving mom wrote in the photo caption, “you are turning 8 today and you make me proud every day. I love you with all my heart.”

Twins Nelson and Eddy turned 9 on Oct. 23, 2019. We wonder what the doting superstar mom has in store for their lightning-speed ascent into adolescence! Hopefully, the happy family will continue to share their journey with the world. Can you believe how quickly these sweet boys are growing up?
