“People have not only left San Francisco, they’re continuing to leave. And if you have a vacant unit for over 182 days, six months, they will start fining you ... up to $20,000 per year per unit.”

Siyamak sits down with Rafael Gordon, a property manager and retired paramedic. He grew up in San Francisco and recently left. He discusses what the vacancy tax is and how San Francisco’s landlords are doing, as well as his perspective on the decay of the city.

He is also the host of the “California Insider” show, which showcases leaders and professionals across the state with inside information about trending topics and critical issues in California.
