Siyamak sits down with Debora Allen, board member at the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). BART is reportedly faced with a record-low ridership and a significant shortage of funding in the coming years. Debora will give us insider information on what has happened to the agency and why BART is failing.
“Some of these people have no experience in business. Every year when we have these elections, we get these political people step up to run for these board positions, that have no experience in contracting in large infrastructure, in legal issues, in finance, reading financial statements. ... They are, like, don’t know what to do with that stuff.”
