Wall Street Opens Higher as Treasury Yields Retreat; Earnings in Focus

Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher as a selloff in U.S. Treasuries eased on Tuesday, while shares of General Electric and Coca-Cola rose on upbeat forecasts.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 153.23 points, or 0.47 percent, at the open to 33,089.64. The S&P 500 opened higher by 18.75 points, or 0.44 percent, at 4,235.79, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 66.67 points, or 0.51 percent, to 13,084.99 at the opening bell.
