SINGAPORE/LONDON—The U.S. 10-year treasury yield on Thursday reached its highest in 10 months, underpinned by fears that U.S. interest rates might stay higher for longer, contributing, along with China’s economic woes, to world stocks languishing at five-week lows.
Benchmark 10-year yields reached 4.312 percent on Thursday, testing October’s 4.338 percent a break past which would be its highest in 16 years.
