President Donald Trump on Aug. 25 threatened to restrict U.S. chip exports and impose additional tariffs on imports from countries that refused to eliminate digital taxes.

In a Truth Social post, Trump opposed digital taxes and said that digital market regulations imposed by other countries were intended “to harm, or discriminate against, American Technology.”
