U.S. President Donald Trump says he is hiking tariffs on Canada by 10 percent over the continuation of an anti-tariff ad by the provincial government of Ontario that Trump says misrepresents a speech by the late U.S. President Ronald Reagan on trade protectionism.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on Oct. 24 that he will pause the $75 million ad campaign in response to Trump terminating trade discussions with Canada on Oct. 23 because of it, but only after the weekend’s World Series games.
