Business software maker Oracle Corp. said on Monday it would buy Cerner Corp. for $28.3 billion in its biggest-ever deal, gaining access to a trove of data from one of the biggest healthcare IT firms in the United States.

Cerner shareholders will receive $95 in cash for each share they hold, representing a premium of 5.8 percent to the company’s last closing price.
