Bret Michaels gave an update following a health scare last week, when he was rushed off the stage during a show in Manchester, new Hampshire.

Michaels was evaluated by paramedics, who determined that his blood sugar levels were too low. He’s diabetic.

The rocker returned to the stage to announce that he couldn’t continue playing.

He later told fans via his website that he was under strict medical direction to take it easy.

He posted a picture this week of himself looking pale.

“Apologies for the pale white face. It’s the first day I’ve been able to fly to the kids. There is not enough thanks that I can send to the awesome fans, friends, family and medical staff for their help and well wishes. You all rock!” he said.

He also said that he donated $10,000 to the MDA after his illness, which was revealed to be low blood sugar combined with the noro flu virus.

In music news, Michaels just released the video for his single “A Beautiful Soul.”
