On Tuesday night, two small bombs exploded just outside the office of the Northern League, an Italian right-wing government party, in northern Italy.

In the village near Varese, about a hundred yards from the residence of the party’s leader, Umberto Bossi, the explosions resulted in no casualties, but shattered windows and caused a small amount damage inside, AFP reported.

Graffiti on one wall of the office showed an anti-fascist slogan, “Antifa Act,” according to La Repubblica.

It is unclear whether there is a connection to the explosives delivered to embassies in Rome last week. The embassy bombs were claimed by an anarchist group called the Informal Federation of Anarchy (FAI).

Investigators say the two occurrences bear no resemblance, according to AFP. Interior Minister Roberto Maroni expressed it to be a dangerous act, but they will not be intimidated, Corriere della Sera reported.
