Blake Leggette and Victoria Henneberry have been arrested over missing Halifax woman Loretta Saunders.
Saunders disappearance is being treated as suspicious, officials said.
They found her vehicle on Tuesday night, and arrested Leggette and Henneberry, who were in possession of it.
The pair appeared in Windsor provincial court on Wednesday via video conference and are scheduled to appear again on Friday.
Saunders, who is three months pregnant, hasn’t been seen since last Thursday, reported CBC.
Halifax Regional Police Const. Pierre Bourdages said Leggette and Henneberry have outstanding warrants and that they know Saunders.
“This file has now been transferred over to the major crime unit given the suspicious nature of the investigation,” the officer said. “Investigations are still looking for any sightings of Loretta.”
