The release dates for Captain America 3 and Batman vs Superman currently set to be released on the same date, and this has sparked some Internet chatter recently.

In an interview with Digital Spy, the Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier crew weigh in on the issue.

On the Internet chatter, Chris Evans AKA Captain America says, “It is what it is.

“It’s a shame... two great movies that are going to have to cannibalize each other.”

Sebastien Stan, who plays Winter Soldier, muses, “Should we just like, (get DC to) meet us on 18th and 6th at like 9pm and figure this thing out?”

“(Stan’s) a little nervous about the Ben Affleck thing,” adds Anthony Mackie (Falcon). “But I told him, I'll take care of Afflex, you take care of the British kid (Henry Cavill).”

Pulp Fiction star Samuel L. Jackson has been critical of the release date clash prior, suggesting that DC only has “interesting bad guys” to offer, and didn’t mince words again.

“Apparently, there’s some difference in how these two people approach the film making process, because one’s been wildly successful and one’s still trying to figure it out,” he said.

The Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo remain diplomatic.

“Everybody likes to image a flame war that will start over this but it’s not,” said Joe Russo. “It’s two big movies on a date - neither studio is crazy enough to eat up each other’s profits.

“At some point, somebody’s going to move off the date,” Joe concludes.

Both movies are currently slated for a May 6, 2016 release. Batman vs Superman/Man of Steel 2 was originally scheduled for summer 2015.
