An attempt was made to kidnap a German envoy in Yemen, during which an embassy guard was killed.
The envoy escaped the attempt in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, reports AFP. He was leaving a shop when the incident occurred.
Germany and the UK had closed their embassies in Yemen for about two weeks in August due to terrorist threats.
