Ashley Lynn Kline, a 23-year-old woman who was reported missing on December 30, was found dead on January 12. Her body was identified on Monday.

Kline was murdered, a coroner said after an autopsy.

Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni told Lancaster Online that Kline died of “substantial trauma” on her entire body.

Her body was in a wildlife area in Clay Township for days, he added.

Hikers found the body on Sunday afternoon.

Investigators are trying to figure out what happened.

Kline left her father’s home in Robesonia, PA on December 30.

Penny Monteleone, an aunt, said that Kline told her that she was going to a girlfriend’s house. Kline didn’t take her phone charger, laptop, or any changes of clothes.

“She was always good about letting her dad know where she was,” Monteleone said.

“I hope I’m wrong, but it appears that there has been foul play,” Monteleone said.
