Resurrection season 1 on ABC wraps up on Sunday with the season finale, episode 8.

The episode, titled “Torn Apart,” will see the town of Arcadia in a state of chaos as the return of the deceased reaches a critical mass.

“Bellamy has no other choice than to ask for outside aid which backfires when Sheriff Fred steps in with his own agenda, triggering a siege on the town that no one saw coming,” according to the official description.

The situation really started ramping up when Rachel returned from the dead twice, perhaps indicating that the newcomers cannot be truly killed once they come back.

Omar Epps (Bellamy) told CBS that the season finale is going to end on a serious cliffhanger.

“I can’t give away much, but we’ve got a hell of a cliffhanger that I think is going to make the audience go back and watch the whole season again,” he said.

“It’s going to make them go back and question everything about the whole first season even after seeing it.”

A season 2 hasn’t been officially announced but industry watchers say it’s basically guaranteed as the show has come on very strong in its first season.

“I have a good feeling about it. I think we’re going to come back,” Epps said. “Hopefully next we should know something.”
