Pop singer Prince Rogers Nelson, known as “Prince,” and formerly known as “the artist formerly known as Prince,” has died on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57. According to his publicist, the singer was found unresponsive at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.
A week before Prince’s death, his private plane was forced to land in Illinois so that he could seek medical treatment for what was reported as a sudden bout with the flu. He performed a concert one day later, reassuring his fans he was OK saying, “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”
