Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Texas is on lockdown on Thursday as police search the area for a gunman.
Police began receiving calls of random gunfire near the school just after 1:30 p.m., reported NBC.
The investigation turned into a search for the active shooter.
The gunman may have fled into a wooded part of the area.
