Paolo Nutini headlined the Apollo Theater Tuesday night after performing to a sold out crowd at Terminal 5 the previous night in support of his latest album Caustic Love.

Nutini, dressed in a casual white top and jeans, opened up with “Scream (Funk My Life Up)” from Caustic Love. As the nearly two hour set went on, he captivated the audience with tracks like “Better Man,” “Diana,” and older tracks like “Jenny Don’t be Hasty” and his 2006 breakthrough single, ‘New Shoes."

After his backup band left the stage, Nutini came back for his encore with an acoustic guitar in his hand as he performed four tracks including: a cover of Ben E. King’s  “Spanish Harlem,” Candy“ and the romantic track ”Last Request” which led to fans dancing in the aisles.

PHOX, a folk, indie-pop band from Wisconsin, opened up for the artist as they provided an half hour set.

If there’s anything that was proven Tuesday night, it’s that Nutini continues to yield star power since he bursted on the scene eight years ago.
