The 24th New York Jewish Film Festival 2015 (NYJFF 2015) Closing Night N.Y. Premiere of Felix and Meira (Félix et Meira), directed by Maxime Giroux was held at the Walter Reade Theater in Lincoln Center, Thursday, January 29th. The Q&A session immediately followed with director Giroux and actor Luzer Twersky moderated by Jaron Gandelman, Curatorial Assistant for Media, Jewish Museum and Coordinator, New York Jewish Film Festival. Festival members and special guests attended the premiere.
Questions posed to director Giroux and actor Twersky by Gandelman and the audience included: What was the casting process like? What inspired the black and white Jazz scene? What is your relation with the community now? How did you get into acting? Both Felix and Meira were alienated from their family, is that something you intended?
