Actress Nicole Kidman and her husband, country musician Keith Urban, are some of Australia’s most famous expats to the United States, and the couple are donating $500,000 to help fight the wildfires that have claimed 25 lives and, some speculate, destroyed close to 1 billion animals in their home country.
The couple made the announcement on their various social media accounts:
“Our family’s support, thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now.”
