Actual photos of the Nexus 6 could have been leaked.

Android Police managed to get their hands on two close up pictures of someone using a Nexus 6.

The phone looks to be in some sort of slip-on case, but Android Police confirms that most of the details, such as the positioning of the volume and power buttons near the middle of the device for example, are in line with earlier information they received.

The Nexus 6 is rumored to have a 5.9-inch screen with 2560 x 1440p resolution, a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (according to 9to5Mac), a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and a 2 mega-pixel front camera, and a massive 3,200 mAh battery.

Because it is made by Motorola, the Nexus 6 will be compatible with Motorola’s turbo charger, which will reportedly give the Moto X up to 8 hours of usage with only 15 minutes of charging time.

Android Police may be confident that the leaked phone is the Nexus 6, but TK Tech News reports that the phone being leaked is in fact the Moto S.

While most tech sites consider the Moto S and Nexus 6 to be the same device, TK Tech News insists that they are two separate devices by Motorola and Google.

The Nexus 6 could be a smaller, 5.2-inch device, and could be released as the Nexus X instead if Google cannot get the rights to use the Nexus 6 moniker. This is so as the family of author Philip K. Dick (author of “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” which was adapted by Ridley Scott into “Blade Runner”) owns the copyright to the “Nexus 6” name.

As for the Moto S, TK Tech News says that it could be the first in the supposedly scrapped Android Silver line, or it could be “repurpose... as new Google play edition devices.”

“This is why we see NO NEXUS branding on the Moto S we have seen leaked lately that people are considering a nexus 6 aka nexus x,” TK Tech News writes.

As Google and Motorola have yet to make any official announcement, all information above should be taken with a grain of salt.
