The New York Knicks will face the Brooklyn Nets in a crucial basketball game on Wednesday night.
The Knicks (32-43) are only one game behind the Atlanta Hawks for the eighth slot in the Eastern Conference.
The Hawks (32-41) are playing the Chicago Bulls (42-32) tonight, so a Knicks win could very well erase that one game deficit. (complete standings here)
The Nets (40-33) are currently in fifth place in the East and just clinched a playoff spot.
They have some incentive to win as well--they’re 1.5 games behind the Chicago Bulls. If the Nets get into fourth place, they'd have homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
The Knicks have gone 7-3 in their last 10 games and are on a two game winning streak.
The Nets have also gone 7-3 in their last 10 games and are on a three game winning streak.
Tonight’s game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Madison Square Garden.
ESPN is broadcasting the game while live streaming will be available via Watch ESPN.
The game will also be available on MSG and YES.
When the Knicks and Nets meet again on April 15, the Nets will have homecourt advantage at Barclays Center.
