The latest NBA power rankings has several teams rising while others are dropping far.
The Atlanta Hawks are the undisputed number 1 with their 16 game win streak intact, after the Warriors lost a close game to the Bulls on Tuesday night.
The Cavaliers, Grizzlies, and Pelicans are among the teams rising, boosted by a week of all wins.
Check out the rankings below. If the team is not on a streak, their record over the last 10 games is noted.
1. Atlanta Hawks (37-8, 16-game winning streak)
After this is all over, the Hawks could come close to beating every team in the league at least once. Hard to believe some of the early losses now, to the likes of the Hornets and Lakers.
2. Golden State Warriors (36-7, last 10--8-2)
The Warriors were downed by the Bulls on Tuesday, snapping a franchise-record 19-game home winning streak. Their last loss at home was on November 11, 2014.
3. Memphis Grizzlies (33-12, 4-game winning streak)
The Grizzlies had a nice week, handily beating the Mavericks and also trumping the Raptors, 76ers, and Magic. Jeff Green is fitting in nicely, and the team is looking at a potential championship run.
4. Los Angeles Clippers (31-14, 5-game winning streak)
The Clippers have two rough Eastern Conference losses in the past few weeks (the Cavaliers and Heat), but have beaten everyone else--including the Mavericks, Blazers, and Suns.
5. Portland Trail Blazers (32-13, last 10--5-5)
There’s a reason LaMarcus Aldridge put off surgery on his thumb--the Blazers need him. They’re faltering, going 5-5 in their last 10, and in danger of dropping out of home-court advantage in the tough West.
6. Washington Wizards (31-15, 2-game winning streak)
The Wizards blew a chance to get a win over the Blazers, but finished off the Nuggets and Lakers during their Western Conference road trip. A win against the Suns would be good before a stretch that includes matchups against East contenders (Raptors and Hawks).
