The Lake Geneva Police Department announced on Tuesday that 40-year-old Michalene Melges and her three sons have been found safely in Georgia.
“We will offer further updates at the appropriate time. We would like to thank the media and citizens for their concern and assistance in this matter,” the police statement said.
Melges was located exactly two weeks since she and her three sons, 14-year-old Hans, 12-year-old Kristian “Max,” and 10-year-old Maverik “Buddy” were last seen.
According to authorities, the newly-divorced mother called her children’s schools ahead of time and signed them out from May 10 to May 13.
