Mark Kessler, the Pennsylvania police chief whose profanity-laced YouTube videos have been watched by thousands, was fired on Thursday.

Kessler had been suspended for 30 days for his videos that he said were pro-Second Amendment and anti-Democrat, and which included him shooting automatic weapons.

Kessler fought to keep his job on Thursday, reported NBC, but ultimately the Gilberton City Council voted to fire him.

His attorney, Joseph Nahas, told NBC before the meeting that he thought his council would be fired.

“It’s not easy. It’s stressful, it’s really stressful,” said Kessler, who has relied some on donations while he’s been suspended. “But I feel in my heart I’m doing the right thing. Yeah, I made some videos with some choice language, but that’s my right. That’s my freedom.”
