Jurassic World, also known as Jurassic Park 4, may include underwater dinosaurs.
Jurassic World is set 22 years after the original film and reportedly has a budget of over $200 million.
Plot details have been scarce but an early script indicates that Isla Nublar is an actual theme park as intended by John Hammond in the original film that draws 10 million visitors a year and is “safe.”
The park is described as “Sea World-esque” and includes the Isla Nublar Lagoon, featuring underwater dinosaurs.
“The usually-menacing velociraptors now will be used to help fight the threat, which begins in the form of a new dinosaur--not seen in the previous films--that is much smarter than originally thought and is the main cause of the havoc breaking out at the park,”reported the Hawaii Film & Movie Magazine (pdf).
Filming will start this month in Hawaii before moving on to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and San Diego, California.
Filming in Hawaii will start with at least four weeks on Oahu followed by two weeks on Kauai.
Locations on Oahu include Kuoloa Ranch, which will be Isla Nublar, the island from the original Jurassic Park; and the Honolulu Zoo, where the first day of filming is scheduled.
Locations in the United States include 11 weeks at the Celtic Media Center in Baton Rouge and exterior locations in San Diego.
Jurassic World is being directed by Colin Trevorrow and will feature Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in leading roles.
Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, and Ty Simpkins are other confirmed actors involved.
Steven Spielberg is an executive producer on the film, which is set to hit theaters in June 2015.
